Psych Nurse Practicioner New

A healthcare organization in New York is seeking a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join its behavioral health team. This role offers the opportunity to provide high-quality psychiatric care in a collaborative clinical environment.

The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner will be responsible for:

• Conducting psychiatric and mental status evaluations
• Prescribing and managing psychotropic medications, including monitoring and labs
• Providing ongoing psychiatric care and crisis intervention as needed
• Developing and reviewing treatment plans in collaboration with the care team
• Documenting clinical services in the electronic medical record
• Coordinating care with physicians, therapists, and other providers
  
  

• Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (ANCC or AANP)
• Active and unrestricted New York State NP and RN licenses
• Active DEA and NPI registration
• Master's degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
• Experience in behavioral health or mental health settings
• Strong communication and clinical decision-making skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
  
  

• Bilingual Spanish
• Experience with high-risk or complex patient populations
• Proficiency with EMR systems
