Travel RN Requisition – NICU

Assignment Details

• Shift: Nights – 3x12s (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
• Scheduling: Self-scheduling
• Weekend Requirement: 6 weekend shifts per 6-week period
• Float Requirement: Yes – to Pediatrics, PICU, and Full-Term Nursery
• Orientation: 40 hours
• Holiday Coverage: Standard observed holidays
• COVID Vaccine: Not required
• Flu Vaccine: Required – medical exemptions only
  
  

Requirements

• Experience:
• Minimum 2 years NICU experience
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Licensure:
• Maryland RN license or compact state license
• Certifications:
• BLS, NRP required
• STABLE preferred
• Charting System: Cerner (preferred)
  

Skills & Clinical Competencies

NICU Level III experience

Patient Types:

Neonates 34 weeks

ELBW babies, NAS, surgical preemies

Procedures & Equipment:

• UAC/UVC, bubble CPAP, HFNC, oscillators, nitric oxide, ventilator management
• Surfactants, steroids, IV vasopressors, neonatal dosage calculations
• Feeding tubes, NEC management, phototherapy

Other Skills:

• Attend high-risk deliveries
• Developmental care, thermoregulation, patient/family teaching
• Dysrhythmia interpretation, invasive hemodynamic monitoring
